A big shoutout to Simon and his wife for enabling us to have a great peranakan dinner experience! All the food was great, big portions so be ready. (6 pax minimum for booking)

You get to choose 1 menu each from 7 different categories (7 course meal) beforehand and Simon also can recommend most popular dishes as well.

BYOB and his place is very well equipped with ice, bucket, wine opener, wine glasses etc.

Overall a great experience at a beautiful home.
      Thank you 🙏🏻

Dining at Chef Simon and Jeanette’s home is less a meal and more a quietly elegant cultural experience. From the moment you step through the door, the house itself sets the tone – warm, lived-in, and deeply personal. Their lovely dog Guinness only adds to the feeling that you’ve been welcomed not into a restaurant, but into a real home. It is the sort of place where stories, heritage, and hospitality naturally gather around the table.

Jeanette receives her guests with effortless warmth and grace, making everyone feel immediately at ease. Chef Simon’s cooking, meanwhile, reflects both mastery and deep respect for his Peranakan roots. Each dish carries the layered complexity the cuisine is known for – bold yet beautifully balanced, nostalgic yet refined. You sense that these are recipes shaped by memory, tradition, and a genuine love for the craft.

What makes the evening particularly special is how naturally everything comes together – the home, the conversation, the cooking, and the gentle attentiveness of the hosts. It feels almost like being invited into a cherished family gathering, where culture is not displayed but simply lived.

A rare and thoughtful dining experience. One leaves not only well fed, but quietly reminded that the most memorable meals are those served with heart, heritage, and a generous welcome. ✨

We had a family here and it was outstanding. Simon is a great host who made us all feel at home and was really engaging. The food was excellent – truly home cooked and ingredients were fresh. Authentic Pernakan recipes passed down from Simon’s grandmother! Will return!

Am really impressed with the cozy ambience and tasteful decor of the house .Chef is very nice and friendly making us feel welcome. Food was equally impressive! All the dishes were nicely plated and executed with perfection not to mention that they were all served with beautiful peranakan wares enhancing a truly peranakan experience! I especially love Chef Simon’s Kueh Pie Tie, Bakwan Kepingting and Sayur Lodeh. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant surprise and discovery upon this home dining experience. Beautiful home and wonderfully crafted peranakan dishes, recipe passed down from previous generations. Born into a peranakan family, his passion in cooking was fuelled by his granny and mommy, excellent cooks themselves. Please see the photos I took…it speaks a thousand words.
      Highly recommended.
