March 18, 2026 at 4:17 pmWas there for Chinese New Year lunch menu. Previously patronised the place many years ago, for another event too and impression is the food are good. Luckily the standard maintained. Salted egg fish skin is crispy and of the right thickness, not too saltish. The Salted egg prawn is also quite nice althoght we can’t recognised it at first glance (not aware of the lunch menu). Portion is quite filling. Pity the soup probably wasn’t mixed well when the server helped us to scoop, majority of the sharkfin was in one bowl, and the person don’t eat the sharkfin. The chicken is well marinated and very soft. Prefer the strawberry mochi over the matcha one. Overall food is nice, worth to come back again. But is not very convenient for those driving as there is only one lift and we parked at level 3, need to wait for few trips before we can board the lift.

March 18, 2026 at 4:17 pmLast night, we held our annual CNY gathering at this old school restaurant.
As many of us have not heard of this restaurant nor came here before – we were surprised this was set up since 1956 by Rolands’s parents.
It got famous as the Palm Beach Seafood restaurant and eventually set up in this location (taking over the old Sin Leong restaurant).
Don’t be misled by my comment ‘old school’ it is the taste and it’s dishes but not the environment – well furnished and just recently renovated their washrooms.. All bright and clean.
As for the dishes and services – we all enjoyed it very much (thumbs up)! The chilli crabs are nostalgic in flavours and the fired baby squids also a hit.
The services are impeccable and deserved a comment.
One suggestion for Roland – please improve on the disposable gloves. The quality is really bad and it affects the dining experience of the crabs.

March 18, 2026 at 4:17 pmCame here for a birthday celebration and boy were we in for a treat. Food was awesome for all.
Honourable mentioned – Prawns was fresh and have a bite to it. Fried rice was fragrant and cooked well.

March 18, 2026 at 4:17 pmAlways great to return to a nostalgic restaurant atmosphere – if you’ve been to JingFong in NYC, you’ll love Roland’s! It’s got that old timey vibe where the servers are respectful and they know how to make sure the guests laugh and have fun! The food for the CNY lunch with my Zumba ladies was a blast – recommendations were offered and food allergies taken into consideration! If you enjoy nostalgic, Chinese food where the owners are present everyday – you gotta come to Roland’s! Food rec: Cereal Prawns, Glutinous Rice, Fried Fish, Yam Paste Dessert

March 18, 2026 at 4:17 pmThe food was good. There should be a better coordination of bringing out the dishes. For example, the vegetable side dish was delivered to the table at least 10 minutes before the mains. The rolls were delivered when the first crab dish was almost done. The staff were courteous and very helpful when we requested something.
