PRAIRIE by Craftsmen (Joo Chiat)

Chanced upon this cafe on a weekend. Like most cafe, it is cozy with both outdoor and indoor offerings. I noticed that it’s a pet-friendly cafe as some pets were allowed at the outdoor area.

Ordered the big breakfast, teriyaki chicken sandwich, another sandwich, I think it was Mentaiko based, as well as two other rice-based bowl of teriyaki chicken. Overall, the brunch was delicious, though there wasnt any standout offering that would knock you out for more. In terms of portion, I would think they were generous. Quality wise, it is not bad. The competition is going to be tough as there are many cafes around the vicinity.

Spent about S$146.28.

Nice cafe amongst a bunch of cafes in Joo Chiat. I really like the vibe of this place – they have a nice outdoor area if you want to relax after a run or a smaller air-conditioned indoor area.

Wifi is great, so I could get a lot of work done. Seems less crowded on a weekday morning – I was the only customer at around 10AM.

Ordered a House Made Rosti & Sausage, which comes with pork bratwurst, sunny side-up eggs, cherry tomatoes and sour cream. Loved all of the items. The sausage was well smoked.

For my caffeine fix, I had a Macchiato followed by a Mocha. Both were enjoyable, particularly the Macchiato which is superb.

Decent Brunch in Joo Chiat area. Love their Chicken Teriyaki Sando, it’s aromatic, the sauce is flavourful, Shoku Pan is crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside.
Avocado Toast is pretty lovely too, you get a lot of Avocado on top of super fluffy Sourdough. The poached eggs are just perfect.
Coffee & Chai is not bad, it’s your standard cup of beverages.

Food was pretty good and portions were sufficient.

We got the Big Breakfast which was yummy, and the Ajitama & Potato Salad Sando which was actually pretty good as well. The sando bread was a bit burnt though.

Our orders took a while to come even though we came after the peak lunch hours and there didn’t seem to be many others waiting for their food. The place also had a lot of flies even though we were seated indoors.

Overall, this is a good cafe with relatively reasonable prices to consider if you’re in Joo Chiat. Do avoid peak hours if you’re coming on a weekend though!

Had both lunch and dinner at PRAIRIE by Craftsmen (Joo Chiat) and really enjoyed the experience! The café is pet-friendly, so my dog could dine with me comfortably — such a nice place for pet owners. They have a great selection of healthy dishes, and I tried the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich and Teriyaki Chicken Rice, both were delicious and nicely presented. I also bought their cash dollars for rebates, which makes it even more worth coming back. Cozy atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff — definitely one of my favourite pet-friendly cafés in the area!
