March 18, 2026 at 4:18 pmSuperb value, fresh sashimi slices. Lotus root chips were nice and crispy. Complimentary water served. Service was thoughtful, when seating me server asked whether I preferred a warmer or colder area and assigned accordingly. Bar counter seats were still quite comfortable, also had bag hooks at every other seat. Will be back with other friends to try other stuff.

March 18, 2026 at 4:18 pmI highly recommend this restaurant! It’s the freshest and cheapest Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to, and the sake is also very affordable. The waiters are incredibly professional in explaining the menu and recommending many hidden menu items. It’s truly great value for money. I don’t eat raw food, but I highly recommend their unit, it’s the cheapest and freshest uni I’ve ever had in Singapore.

March 18, 2026 at 4:18 pmExcellent service – very accommodating, attention to detail, had initiative, was ready to attend to any request, gave a complimentary dessert for birthday celebration.
Amerjack kanpachi, chawanmushi, tsukune, chuturo, avocado salad were excellent.
Yakitori, fugu mirin were a bit salty.
Limited seating so make a reservation!

March 18, 2026 at 4:18 pmHad zero expectations as we found the restaurant near our hotel. Very nice ambience, like your typical Japanese bar.
Food was definitely above expectations!
We had the tempura moriawase, buta gyoza, California roll, chashu tonkatsu ramen, chawanmushi, but our overall standouts were the Yoppi roll, takoyaki, avocado sarada, buta yaki, and the kanpachi sashimi (so fresh)!
Service was great. Sat at the counter, the chefs and waitress was very polite. Will definitely be back.

March 18, 2026 at 4:18 pmGreat and casual izakaya. Sake list is extensive! A sake lover’s Izakaya indeed. Wide range of Hakurakusei, Dassai and Nanakanba sake. 4 of us managed to snag a bottle of their coveted Noguchi Honjozo and a second bottle of Gaki Masamune Honjozo. We loved the creative maki rolls and the rich Ankimo. 2 bottles of sake and food for about $90/pax. Reservations recommended!
