March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmEnjoyed a casual lunch at House downstairs cafe. We ordered laksa goreng and ham cheese sandwich. The laksa goreng was nice. Exceeded expectations. Rich serving of fish cakes. And two prawns.
Ham cheese sandwich was well made. Like the melted cheese.
Also tried the avocuddle. 👍👍
Will visit again.
Staff friendly and tended to the tables quickly. Food served pretty fast.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmSome of the dishes here are hits and misses.
The hits:
The laksa. It is more of a fusion-style laksa and the hokkien mee. It was genuinely good. It served piping hot.
The riceballs were delicious without any overpowering flavours.
The misses:
The Rösti and croissant, unfortunately, fell short. The Rösti portion was small and quite bland, and the croissant was a little soggy when it really should have been flaky.
That said, the friendliness of the staff does make up for some of what the food lacks. Thank you.
Overall, I left feeling somewhat a little underwhelmed with this café.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmFrom the moment we stepped in, the staff greeted us warmly, setting the tone for a lovely meal. We were promptly seated and served water and utensils, making us feel right at home. Ordering was smooth and efficient, and the food arrived quickly.
Tried the laksa goreng, scallion pancake, rosti and Korean riceballs, all of which were a hit with the family. Everyone enjoyed the flavors so much that they immediately asked to come back again.
A special highlight: kids were eager to visit in hopes of seeing Chen Ning. Told them she might not be around, but they insisted we have faith and to their joy, she was there! 🎉
A memorable visit filled with great food, warm service, and a touch of luck!

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmGreat hidden cafe. Food was tasty, service very friendly and polite. Coffee was a bit bitter but they had a very good choice for alternative milk options and customisation. Decor is simple but well thought and it has good sitting area. Scallion pancake was a great positive surprise and super delicious, served with condensed milk. Sourdough bread was tasty and real sourdough.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmHighly recommended! Super regret not coming earlier after a friend recommended some time back.
Everything we ordered was yums. Kids said the rice balls were “TOO yummy” and sadly it was out of stock when we wanted to order a 2nd serving.
The laksa goreng was a delicious laksa cersion of fried hokkien prawn noodle. And it wasn’t too spicy even for the kids.
We also loved the rosti and craygee (something like seafood paofan).
Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice cafe ambience conveniently located at the CC with ample parking available on a Sunday.
There was something for everyone. We’ll be back!
