Dr Wilfred cares about both the pet and the owners. Cared to make follow up calls even free of charge. Being a great support for us in going through the hardest time for both the owners and the pet.
The pricing is not very cheap but definitely reasonable and affordable compared to other 24 hr hospitals.
Many vet clinics require advanced booking. Or only limited vets are on duty. Companion Vet will be a good choice for those that need urgent or ad hoc care. Their vets are patient to explain and answer questions. Unlike some other vets who are too busy with consultation.
The only thing I wish is the lighting can be a bit more cozy. The cold lighting actually scared me a bit when I first visited.
Dr Kevin has been exceptionally patient, compassionate, and dedicated in his care for Turbo, our 13-year-old Pomeranian, as well as towards me as an owner. He takes the time to explain every issue clearly and thoroughly, ensuring I fully understand the situation while patiently addressing all my (very kiasu) questions.
Throughout every consultation, Dr Kevin remains calm, reassuring, and genuinely empathetic, which made a huge difference in helping me stay composed during what could have been very stressful moments.
He consistently goes the extra mile for his patients, such as accommodating Turbo for a last-minute dental surgery despite his extremely tight schedule and staying back late to ensure everything was done properly. Dr Kevin is one of those vets that you can feel really cares for animals
I’m incredibly grateful to have Turbo under his care.
The team at companion itself was great, they were prompt and it felt more family bonded, rather than those at your typical vet.
Our family definitely would taking companion as our usual vet from now on
An excellent clinic. Not cheap, but services are good.
Dr Miles is really a wizard and has a lot of experience. (He literally brought Oreo back from the edge twice) . He is extremely patient and polite even after long hours of working, surgery, emergency cases.. he takes time to see each patient. Gives you all the options available . Dr April was the other vet who looked at Oreo, she is very polite and caring and prompt to act . Two of the best vet ive interacted with. Dr Aparna who was also on duty when i admitted oreo was very kind and compaasionate.
All the nurses were so nice and helpful and took so good care of oreo .
Overall deserving a 5star rating .
Ad says 25% OFF pet dental (scaling & polishing, GA, IV catheter/fluids) starting from $396 for dogs/cats, depending on weight. We live in Chinatown… went to Balestier with my 3-year-old 6.8kg dog (small / should be low-end pricing) after fasting him overnight for the procedure.
Only when I arrived did they disclose the real total would be around $1,000+ (extras like blood tests, dental X-rays ~$312, separate scaling/polishing add-on ~$226, IV items, etc.—not mentioned into the “starting” price). Felt like total bait-and-switch; promo barely covers basics while recommended tests inflate everything massively.
Had to cancel on the spot, wasting time and stressing my dog with unnecessary fasting. Lack of upfront transparency is frustrating and deceptive.
I have been taking my dog Kobe to Companion Animal Surgery since he was a year old. Dr Eleanor, Dr Miles, Dr Todd, and Dr Alan always give him the best care and treatment whenever he is unwell. Gil , Eunice and the rest of the staff are very friendly, helpful and understanding. It’s great that they are open 24/7 too. I highly recommend them.
