March 18, 2026 at 4:15 pmDamian & Sharon are the most wonderful, generous and gracious people. Wonderful conversationalists and deep humans. I had an unexpected magical evening with them that lasted 4-5 hours. Good food, great atmosphere, consummate hosts all came together for an unexpected eclectic and magical evening when I serendipitously decided, in the spur of the moment, to sit down to eat at their restaurant for the very first time ever. Highly recommended! You will not regret trying it out. Damian is the nephew of the wonderful couple that used to run Werner’s Oven for many years.

March 18, 2026 at 4:15 pmWe wanted to do our own mini Oktoberfest celebration, give ourselves an introductory dining experience to German cuisine, so we asked one of the AI tools for the Top 10 German restaurants in Singapore and this is one of the search results!
Well, we truly enjoyed the tasty German dishes which surprisingly paired well with Russian beer. We highly recommend every dish we had (Barramundi Baked Fish Fillet and Crispy Pork Knuckles) and every beer we had (Honey Mead, PILS, IPA). The restaurant folks were also very warm and friendly, the place itself very cosy neighborhood vibe for relaxing meal and winding down after work.

March 18, 2026 at 4:15 pmCommon Taste is truly a hidden gem for anyone who enjoys hearty, flavorful food served with a personal touch. From the moment we stepped in, the warm hospitality was evident. The boss himself generously offered us a taste of his potato salad, which set the tone for the meal. It was refreshing, light, and well-balanced — a simple yet delightful starter that whetted our appetite.
Moving on to the mains, the pork knuckles and chicken drumsticks stood out immediately. Both were cooked to perfection, tender on the inside with just the right bite on the outside. What impressed me most was the seasoning: the spices were not overwhelming, instead allowing the natural flavors of the meat to shine through. As you chew, the subtle spice slowly reveals itself, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that makes you want another bite.
The highlight of the evening for me, however, was the escargot. Perfectly prepared, the escargot was juicy, fleshy, and carried a richness that paired wonderfully with the bread served alongside it. Each bite was indulgent, yet not heavy, making it a dish I would gladly return for again and again.
Overall, Common Taste delivers not just on food but also on atmosphere and hospitality. It is the kind of place where you feel welcomed, cared for, and most importantly, well-fed. Whether you are looking to try something new or simply enjoy quality dishes prepared with thought, this is a spot worth visiting.

March 18, 2026 at 4:15 pmFinding Common Taste Bistro feels like discovering a hidden treasure. What makes it truly special isn’t just the delicious food, but the genuine warmth of the lovely couple who runs it. They greet every customer like family, and their kampung spirit makes you feel right at home. They’re open-minded and passionate about their craft, always exploring ways to improve flavours and listening closely to their customers. As a vegetarian, I’m especially grateful that they often go the extra mile to accommodate my vegetarian requests. It really means a lot.
Common Taste Bistro is a wonderful reminder of what makes small, heart-driven businesses so special. Thank you for the amazing food and even better hospitality!

March 18, 2026 at 4:15 pmSo happy to have found this gem of a German restaurant in Eunos 🙂 We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the chef owner uncle even played a birthday song on the speakers to mark the occasion.
We loved everything we ordered and will definitely go back. For four adults, we ordered a platter (pork knuckle was seasoned perfectly, just the right amount of saltiness and we were able to finish it!), a barramundi that was grilled to perfection and potato salad and garden salad sides. Loved the sambal (a local touch!) and whole grain mustard dips😍
The beer selection is pretty good and we were most surprised by the honey beer – which really tasted more like honey soda!
