I celebrated my wife’s birthday here with my family. And we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. Food was amazing and service was great. Mai and WinYing were attentive in their service. Head chef John See was very friendly. He explained his thoughts and concepts going into the he prepares. The food looks deceptively normal but stunning in its taste and texture! The general manager Ross made sure we had a good time and we are grateful to his candid sharing of wine selection and food pairing. We had such a good time we are definitely returning for more!

Great experience! Staff were warm and food was overall of great quality for the price. You’d think some place like this in the heart of CBD would be charging a lot more, but the reasonable prices were truly appreciated. Complimentary dessert for birthday too!

Only gripe would be the younger staff who had to defer to the senior staff hence a bit of a wait at times, but wasn’t a dealbreaker in any way given how hospitable they were. Will be back!

Had dinner here on a Valentine’s Day. The only decent dish was the Risotto which my husband enjoys it. The reviews indicated that the octopus was nicely grilled so I ordered that and it’s the most expensive dish that cost $56. The portion was small and the taste wasn’t right. My helper’s sambal sotong was even better. The soup of the day that cost $15 tasted like a bit of diluted mushroom with some weird taste. My hub commented that he prefers Saizeriya clam chowder that cost only $2.90, which we can order 5 bowls of this. The squid ink pasta was pretty normal and the base was quite oily. The only thing that we feel it shouldn’t go wrong was the dessert but to my surprise, it was wrong 到不可以在 wrong. The presentation was normal..too bad I didn’t take a photo cause I was thinking finally we should have something nice at least so I didn’t bother to take a picture and started eating. Wah piang leh, it tastes like a sponge cake with some cream in it . Cannot even taste the alcohol at all. Luckily we didn’t go for the set course which costs $138++ per pax. This 5 dishes cost me $211.02. But 讲真的,this kind of standard for a European restaurant, can meh?

Went to Capasso for Valentine’s Day and had a really enjoyable experience. We ordered the tagliatelle, tagliata di manzo, insalata and panna della casa. The food overall was good — the insalata was decent, not the best but not the worst. The chef and service staff were super nice, and the team was attentive and greeted us warmly from the start. The ambiance was really nice and made the dinner feel special.

Only small issue was with the water service — we had ordered still water, but after our bottle finished, our glasses were topped up with sparkling water instead. Aside from that minor mix-up, everything else was great and we had a pleasant evening overall.

Decided to celebrate my partner’s and I first valentines day by trying their valentines day course set menu which was $138++ per pax.

However, the main dish came as a sharing portion…?? The main dish comprised 2 measly ~20g pieces of beef, one small cube of plain rice and one tiny piece of cod for TWO PAX to SHARE. My partner had to double confirm with the staff that this was the main dish for TWO people to share.

Portions were exceedingly tiny that we took a double take at the menu that the steep $138++ price was per pax instead of for a couple.

Menu only explicitly stated that the seafood board was meant for sharing and did not state the same for the main courses. This made us wonder if we were underserved.

The pre-main was a small plate of pasta which also came as a sharing dish. It was marketed as foie gras with truffle cream but tasted like pasta drenched in mushroom soup. We thought that the mains would save the day, but unfortunately not as mentioned above.

Ultimately, a disappointing and appalling experience which left us both feeling hungry at the end of the meal. We ordered McDonald’s when we got home.
