March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmVisited Café Monochrome and really enjoyed the unique 2D concept — the entire space feels like stepping into a black-and-white sketchbook. It’s thoughtfully designed and makes for a fun photo experience without feeling overly gimmicky.
The menu is quite extensive, ranging from pasta and brunch items to matcha drinks and desserts. I tried their matcha and it was well balanced — not overly sweet, with a nice earthy depth. Service was friendly and the space was comfortable despite its compact layout.
A great spot if you’re looking for something visually different while still enjoying decent café fare. Would come back to try their brunch items next time.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmA really unique café experience in Chinatown! The entire place is designed in a black-and-white 2D comic style, which makes it feel like you’ve stepped into a sketchbook. Great spot for photos and a fun vibe overall. Food was good, and the staff were friendly too. Definitely worth visiting if you’re exploring Chinatown.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmThis restaurant has a very unique theme, their restaurant looks like it was hand-drawn. Their Ragu Pasta tastes really good! The Monochrome’s Brunch was not bad, but I feel the waffles could be crispier. 😋 Their fries is crispy but abit hard but can taste the truffle 🍟 Overall, i think is okay. Worth a try if you are nearby 🤩 Would go back to try more pasta flavours if i am nearby! 😛

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmI don’t find it to be special, and I don’t believe it’s worth it. The food was of poor quality. The chicken’s strange tasting has caused me to believe that they need to change their oil. The matcha tastes like strawberry jam, the taro tastes like milk that doesn’t have any taro taste, and the chocolate milk tastes like the cheap milk at the supermarket. There was no politeness or friendliness from the staff. If you are not feeling like working, please stay at home and use your phone. Don’t spend your time going to the cafe and taking photos. Take a look at the staircase, there’s a baby chair, and the cafe is extremely compact. If you’re looking for a good matcha or food near you, September coffee is a great option and just near by. Hopefully the management can train the staffs well

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmI’m a restaurant chef/owner that loves traveling for food, especially with all the nearly 300 Michelin restaurants here!! Came across this place scrolling on google maps with a very interesting concept that just satisfies the generations of today which makes this a globally famous place for Millenials, Gen Z and Gen X! Some of the older folk think it’s just a cafe and are bewildered to see people taking photos around the restaurant 😂
Love the monochrome, love the free flowing easy going music choices, very instagrammable food that deserves to be shared with the world. Thank you for making this such an easy experience from check in seating, ordering and receiving these colorful foods!
