March 17, 2026 at 7:18 pmI’ve been going to Brighton ever since I adopted my hamster. At first, it was just for a check-up, but a few days before my appointment, she started bleeding from her privates. Luckily, Dr Eunice and her team were able to quickly diagnose her and advised for surgery (spay). Though I called most vet clinics that perform abdominal surgery to get a quotation, I found Brighton’s price to be most fair, so decided to get the surgery done here. They even discovered a bladder stone during the sterilisation surgery, which they removed. My hamster recovered well from this first surgery. Later on, her bladder stone returned and she had to get a second surgery, but only after a medication trial was unsuccessful to dissolve the stone. Both times, Dr Eunice, Dr Gwenda and the Brighton team were reassuring and transparent, which really put me at ease.
I’m very grateful to Brighton for their great care of my hamster and also their professionalism. I’ve never had to wait excessively long for my appointments and all treatments were always discussed with the greatest transparency. The vets always did a physical check on my hamster at every appointment. They were open to discussion and respected my opinions (e.g. when I was reluctant to send my hamster for a second surgery so quickly after her first). The vet nurses, techs and receptionists are also easy to talk to on the phone and answer my enquiries. Highly recommended for all hammy owners!

March 17, 2026 at 7:18 pmDr Eunice is the vet to go to . My dog Westie has been going to her with issues like ear , skin , and anus infection ( all separate spontaneous timeline ) and manage to cure it . . And he did his teeth
scaling with her as well . My dog also has one of his testicles that didn’t descend and she remove it s out safely tooo . . She is the best! Dr Eunice pretty much walked thy my dog ‘s life journey . I been to a few vet outside Brighton and to be honest they are good too but when u have a dog that has multiple issues u want someone to be
Knowledgeable and confidence with acute diagnoses . her experience as a vet has been a huge plus to my dog . Dr Eunice is pragmatic and kind at the same time , loving to animals . I love the fact that she allow dog parents like me to have a safe place to address my concerns on what best we can do for my dog . We are very grateful that we have her as our to go vet . Our yearly vet check up has been good too , Dr Eunice will suggest properly age appropriate checks.. lastly not forgetting the great team too at Brighton Katong . The assistants are patience and efficient. It take a whole team to make a vet clinic a good one . Thank you

March 17, 2026 at 7:18 pmUPDATE (16 Aug 2025): I received a very sweet handwritten card from the medical professionals who saw to Sugar on 05 Aug. Very, very kind people who do their jobs with heart, compassion and empathy. I wholly trust that our furbabies are in good hands with them.
05 Aug 2025:
I brought my 2 year 6 months old Chinese Hamster, Sugar, in for emergency 2 days ago, on Tuesday at around 11am. She was having difficulty breathing, making clicking noises, and couldn’t walk properly.
Dr Smriti saw to Sugar, and unfortunately, in the evening, I had to make one of the most difficult decisions ever – to let Sugar go to sleep, because her condition was just too serious, there would be no quality of life for her. She was in a lot of pain and to prolong her life just because I couldn’t let go, would be selfish. I just didn’t want Sugar to suffer, or be in pain anymore.
The vet techs/nurses and Dr Smriti were really very kind, and they let me hold and say goodbye to Sugar before and after they administered the anesthetic gas. After she passed, they even cut a tiny patch of fur and put it in a bottle for me, and gave me a card with her paw prints. This was really a surprise, and even my boyfriend who was with me said he hadn’t expected this at all. Now, I will always have a little bit of Sugar with me.
I only remembered Dr Smriti’s name, and I didn’t get the names of the vet techs or the nurses, but they spoke softly and handled Sugar really gently, even when she was being difficult.
Thank you to the team at Brighton Katong who were on duty on Tuesday, 05 Aug 2025. We really appreciate it and are grateful for the kindness and compassion that you guys showed to us that day.

March 17, 2026 at 7:18 pmVery disappointing. To be fair the vets there has always been very patient and nice. My dog has always visited this vet and since she’s always susceptible to all sorts of allergy so we visit Brighton almost every month.
Had called in around 4 because my dog is bleeding profusely and I was very worried as I couldn’t stop the bleeding myself.
Called in at 4 when they close at 9 for an appointment, was told they were full. But told me I can walk in and wait and will need to pay for the walk in charge. I suggested why not they schedule me an appointment and I can go there and wait even if it’s for hours and even if it’s for 5 mins of the vet’s time. They insisted they are full and will have to pay for walk in charges.
So you are telling me that u will only have time for my poor dog if I pay extra? They did suggest to help my dog stop the bleeding but can’t guarantee a consult with the vet.
As a vet clinic whose priority should be the wellbeing of the animals but seems like there is no compassion when I have already told them the severity of my dog’s condition?

March 17, 2026 at 7:18 pmService here was good and swift on a Sunday morning. I did a walk in for my hamster, and it was quick. Vet was patient and we did a skin / fur test, and some topical application. Total cost was $184. Recommded for pet owners.
