March 17, 2026 at 7:22 pmi would like to share my recent experience at Beecroft with all. My schnauzer, Ashley, was first warded in Beecroft for about a week in October 2025. During that period, it was really challenging for me to visit her as I was wheelchair bound. To add to that, Ashley is blind and has high anxiety. However, the team at Beecroft was extremely empathetic and always assisted me when I visited, ensuring that I would be able to have quality time with Ashley. From refusing food and circling aimlessly, Ashley’s condition improved over the course of the week. We would like to especially commend Dr Gen who was the attending emergency doctor who tended to Ashley the most. During our consultations with her, she constantly empathised with us, understanding our fears and worries. She was extremely clear and patient with her diagnosis and plans moving forward and we were so blessed to have her walk through that challenging week with us. Ashley was finally discharged, having recovered from her suspected pancreatitis.
Unfortunately, Ashley had to be warded again last week, Friday 20Feb.. This was when things became a lot more challenging. Ashley was referred to Beecroft from Mount Pleasant Farrer on Monday 16th February, for an ultrasound as she had been throwing up and her stools were tarry. As the sonographer was not around, the attending doctor then, Dr Julian, shared with us that Ashley could be sent home as the sonographer would only be around on Thursday 19th February. Therefore, the decision was made to bring her home and back on Thursday as Dr Julian was aware of Ashley’s disposition – blind and high anxiety. He did tell us that she might not have a slot for the sonographer on Thursday as priority would be given to patients who were warded, which we completely understood.
True enough, we went down on Thursday and there were no slots. Thankfully, Clarissa assisted us and helped us to book a slot for Friday 20th February and shared with us that Ashley would need to fast from 0000hr of Friday 20th February (we had not been informed of the need to fast prior so this turned out to be a blessing in disguise).
The ultrasound and testing of her lesions seemed to go well and Ashley was discharged on Friday 20th February at around 1p.m.. However, things took a drastic turn real quickly. Within 30min or so of reaching home, we had to rush Ashley back to Beecroft as she was both disoriented and her gums and tongue were pale. Ashley was rushed to the emergency room and attended to. That, was when she met Dr Gen again and we are so glad that Dr Gen attended to her. We learnt a lot about referrals and it turned out that Ashley had been referred as an outpatient ultrasound. Hence, no doctor had checked on her post her ultrasound and procedure on the testing of her lesions. Ashley’s condition was so bad that she had to be warded in ICU as there was now suspected haemorrhaging as she was crashing. We were devastated. How did a simple ultrasound and testing go so wrong?
As we spoke with Dr Gen, we learnt a lot about processes and procedures and we appreciated her admission on how referrals need to be relooked as ultimately, Ashley would not have been in that state if a Dr had checked in on her. It turned out that Drs do not check on the patient if the referral is an outpatient one – which we had no inkling of since neither Mount Pleasant nor Beecroft had made any mention of the type of referral. Dr Gen came to the rescue and from that moment everything starting looking good for Ashley and she was discharged on Sat 21st Feb.
Thank you Dr Gen for your utmost professionalism and dedication. For understanding our pain and having the courage to acknowledge certain lapses so that better care can be given to our furkids, who essentially depend on us for everything. To Clarissa, thank you for taking the initiative to speak with senior management about our case and the goodwill extended.
Beecroft, you have gems among your staff and we sincerely hope management recognises these gems, who made such a difference to us. Thank you.

March 17, 2026 at 7:22 pmThree months ago, my kitten was diagnosed with FIP and was in a very critical condition. She was extremely weak and had lost her mobility. An MRI could not be done at that stage because general anaesthesia would have been too risky for her.
We were seen by Dr Mathias Le Chevoir from the Neurology Department. Based on his expertise and careful assessment of my kitten’s condition, he was able to narrow down the possible causes and explain the likely neurological conditions in a very clear and reassuring way. His professionalism, experience, and calm manner gave us a lot of confidence during an incredibly stressful time.
My kitten was hospitalised for three days, and the care she received was excellent. The neurology nurses, especially Stacy and Aldrei, were outstanding. They provided timely and very detailed updates, always responded patiently to my questions, and followed up through calls and emails whenever I reached out. It was very clear that they genuinely cared about my kitten and treated her with kindness and compassion.
Even after she was discharged, we returned several times for review appointments, and the same level of care and attentiveness was consistently maintained. I would also like to thank the customer service staff at the counter. They were polite, attentive, and responsive, and I noticed that they made the effort to remember pets’ names, which really meant a lot.
I also appreciated how transparent the team was with costs. They always called to inform us and seek approval before proceeding with any additional tests, procedures, or equipment, and clearly explained anything that went beyond the initial rough quotation provided.
Today, my kitten has fully recovered after a long and difficult journey. I am deeply grateful to Dr Mathias, the neurology team, the nurses, and all the staff at Beecroft Hospital. Thank you for everything you did for my kitten and for us.

March 17, 2026 at 7:22 pmLast week, we noticed from the CCTV that our guinea pig, Peach, was sitting in the same spot for hours without moving. We called the vet clinic right away. Since it looked serious, the clinic recommended Beecroft, so we took Peach there. Everything was explained clearly, and we chose to do a consultation and X-ray to find out what was wrong. Unfortunately, the results showed that Peach had pneumonia and needed to be admitted.
Early in the morning around 1am, we received a call that Peach’s condition had worsened. We rushed to the hospital, but thankfully, on the way we got another call saying Peach had stabilized. Later in the morning, we received another update that Peach had developed heart inflammation and needed an injection. Thankfully, he responded well and was able to eat by himself again.
Peach is still under review now, and he needs to continue with medication and nebulization treatment.
We want to sincerely thank Dr. Ellen, all the nurses, and the staff for their care, updates, and for answering our calls even in the middle of the night.

March 17, 2026 at 7:22 pmOur dachshund, Lola was admitted to the hospital in a critical state but the care and professionalism with which she was treated was absolutely outstanding. Every single staff member from receptionists to nurses and doctors were extremely understanding and thoughtful. The pricing was shared transparently and in advance. There was constant attention given to pets in ICU and they even made sure their little blankets were kept clean. We received regular updates by phone and they shared photos and videos with us by email when Lola was finally feeling better. I’m forever grateful for this team for saving my dog’s life. Would recommend this hospital to anyone who wants to make sure their pet is well looked after.
