March 18, 2026 at 3:49 pmAverage Service in Singapore is anything but average, it’s a stylish little café that effortlessly blends modern coffee culture with a warm and uplifting atmosphere. The space feels cosy yet vibrant, making it a lovely spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a moment of calm with a beautifully crafted cup in hand.
One of the highlights here is their unique selection of matcha and coffee creations, a thoughtful menu that caters to both tea lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike. I ordered the hojicha oat latte without sugar, and it was absolutely exceptional. The roasted aroma of hojicha paired seamlessly with the creamy texture of oat milk, creating a smooth, balanced drink that felt both comforting and refined—easily one of the best cups you can find in Singapore.
What truly elevates the experience, however, is the friendly and approachable team. The shopkeepers and baristas are welcoming, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to assist, making every visit feel personal and relaxed.
With its inviting ambience, creative drinks, and genuine hospitality, Average Service is a charming café that proves great experiences are built on both excellent coffee and heartfelt service. Definitely a place worth returning to again and again.

March 18, 2026 at 3:49 pmJust like the name suggests, service is average here. We ordered Thick Slab Bacon and Furikake Garlic Pasta along with their matcha drinks. Food was decent but not sure if worth coming back/travelling for.

March 18, 2026 at 3:49 pmChill cafe, cool vibes. Love the disco ball in the middle. Music at the right decibel. Not too noisy or crowded on Saturday 11AM. Spanish Latte came quickly, nothing special but a welcome pick-me-up. Furikake Garlic Pasta with Seared Scallops was yummy, but I found the fusilli Lunghi (love the instant noodles curliness) to be too al dente for my liking (personal preference). Scallops a little under seared too (cue Gordon Ramsay screams), but again, personal preference. Make sure to mix this up as you eat, because the garlic oil pools at the bottom of the dish. Steak Butty took awhile to come – by which time the pasta was about halfway done. Fries were well salted, but were average. Steak Butty sandwich itself was pretty yummy! Sadly all the desserts were “sold out” (despite it only being 11am?!) except for 1. There were quite a number of other pastas, mains and appetizers that were also “sold out”.

March 18, 2026 at 3:49 pmOnce I stepped in, I saw a big sign saying “Free Seating.” First time seeing that there. Straight away the place felt more relaxed and easy.
We ordered the furikake garlic pasta with seared scallops, the crispy salmon, dirty matcha and ginger detox tea.
The pasta quite unique. The taste itself quite normal, not super wow, but the combination is different. Can try once.
The crispy salmon was nicely cooked — inside soft, skin crispy. Rice was nice. Only thing is the tomato a bit too sour for me.
Matcha not bad, I give 8/10.

March 18, 2026 at 3:49 pmFast waiting time as there are plenty of tables catering to different group sizes. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
We had the steak butty, aglio olio with seared scallops, sour cream & cheese buffalo wings, and a matcha latte. Everything tasted really good, definitely worth a 5 star review.
They also gave a complimentary side when we left a google review. Overall, a great experience and will definitely return!
