Brought my girl at 1.35am here 2 days ago, as there was an emergency of her rubbing her face on the floor and her ear got nicked by the metal drainage. Called 3 other emergency vet before this. VES@Whitley didn’t pick up immediately, then asked me to take a picture and send to WhatsApp, saying this isn’t emergency and may need to wait longer. Westside Vet told me that the waiting time could be 2-3 hours or more as this isn’t as emergency as others may have. Companion Vet, I would’ve gone until I asked who’s the doctor in charge, the same doctor who doesn’t give a damn about my late dog, who doesn’t provide any of the information about my late dog, her name is Aparna, her picture isn’t in the website too. Hence, I give my damn luck on this, called them and the nurse that picked up was a male, seems like a Filipino, soft spoken, and actually freaking tells me to get down so that it can be treated asap. Reached there, registered, the doctor inside was Dr. Teh Weiyin (if I’m not wrong) , she was handling another patient, took about 20mins and it’s fine, totally fine, because there is an actually patient in there. She wasn’t done with the patient, but need to bring the dog inside for further checks by other late night nurse, came out and called us in, without breaks, mind you. Checking on my girl ear, showing us with diagrams on the board, what would be done and etc. Do note that it’s for my pup ears, but before further operations, she checked my pup belly, sides, backs, you can’t tell me that this doctor has no care for animals.
After she was done with the procedure, she told us about the cream , how to put it on, the medicine, what to do to “prevent” infections, etc.
On the side note, saw her tattoos on her wrist area, which then I freaking realizes why I had trusts in her, before we even start anything. It was a “Stag” tattoo. I trust anyone who tattoo a “Stag” on them. This is just my own opinion.
Overall, this is the best one I have encountered so far.
I took my cat to vet because he had a fever and developed an eye ulcer. Dr. Ka Yan was extremely kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, handled my cat gently, and made sure he was comfortable during the visit. The treatment was thorough, and I felt confident my cat was in very good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and would highly recommend
We are very grateful to the clinic and Doctor Spencer for taking such good care of my dog during her surgery and recovery. From the procedure itself to post-op care, everything was handled professionally and with genuine compassion. She has been recovering very well, which gave me a lot of reassurance as an owner.
What really stood out was the follow-up. Doctor Spencer was extremely responsive, responsible, and patient in addressing my concerns, even after the surgery. It truly made a stressful experience much easier to get through. Thank you for the dedication and care. Highly recommended.
Had a great experience with Dr Spencer! Pretzel was always lethargic, lost weight and had pus discharged from her vulva – brought her in and she was diagnosed with open pyometra. On the same day of the visit, she had to undergo surgery immediately and throughout the process, Dr Spencer was super detailed and transparent, even down to the costing. Since this was the first time she had to undergo surgery, we were worried but Dr really made the whole experience much better by showing empathy and reassuring us through every step of the process. Thankfully, the surgery went smoothly and she could be discharged the next day! Dr even texted us personally to follow up post surgery 🙂
Update 1 week post-op: Pretzel is much more active & smiley compared to pre-surgery and will go for a follow-up appointment soon. Highly recommend Dr Spencer to help you with any of your furbabies’ needs!
Was planning a holiday for 2 weeks and both my old dogs Hiro and Scooby, needed to be given medicine at specific timings.
Usual dog hotels would not accept us.
Advanced Vetcare took us in as they are our family vet.
BEST DECISION EVER.
Halfway during the trip, Hiro had pancreatitis. But because he was in the good hands of the team of Vets at Advanced Vetcare, we were able to have a peace of mind that immediate action was taken .
Hiro was nursed back from life threatening condition to good health when we picked him up.
