March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmTheir $28 dinner set (available Sunday to Thursday) came with a drink, main and dessert. The selection was wide. Top-ups for more premium dishes like the squid ink paella were also quite reasonable at an additional $3.50 or $1.50 for the crab rigatoni. Food was yummy and seasoning was on point. They were generous with their meats/fish/seafood. Portion sizes were also quite large, especially for the desserts (tiramisu was so fluffy and good!). The cafe in Tampines is newly renovated and had nice vibes. Although we were seated on Level 2, the food came fast and hot despite it being a Sunday! Really a hidden gem in the heartlands ^_^

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmHad a lovely meal at Lola Cafe and tried their dinner set, which comes with a drink, a main and a dessert—great value overall.
The mushroom risotto ravioli was rich and well-balanced. The roasted rosemary lemon chicken was very tender and paired beautifully with the caramelised onion and spinach, potato cream sauce.
Desserts were excellent—the basil lemon cheesecake was light and refreshing, while the black sesame tart was very enjoyable and a definite standout. Service was fast and efficient, making the experience even better. 😋😋😋

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmI ordered the duck confit, Brussels sprouts, honey crispy wings, and mushroom ricotta ravioli.
The Brussels sprouts were good, with nice notes of umami from the miso maple sauce, balanced by sweetness and the slight bitterness from the charred sprouts. They would have been perfect if they hadn’t been flaking.
The miso-glazed salmon was also good. The earthiness of the quinoa cut through the richness of the miso glaze, and the avocado and egg were a thoughtful touch to the dish.
The honey crispy wings were superb. The crispy skin paired with paprika and honey created a great combination of sweetness with a hint of spice, reminiscent of Korean fried chicken dipped in a spicy soy glaze.
The mushroom ricotta ravioli was average. The pairing of ricotta cheese and mushroom worked, but the mushroom flavor could have been stronger to deliver that umami kick.
The duck confit was a letdown. The balsamic glaze and pickled pomegranate were so good I found myself licking the plate, but unfortunately, the duck itself was very dry.
The service was phenomenal. The staff were friendly and proactive, and I felt genuinely welcomed and well attended to.

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmMy go-to cafe in Tampines and the key difference lies in the superb service. Across all touch points even from the wait staff at the entrance to the waitress on level 2, all smiles. when I accidentally dropped my cutleries the waitress was very attentive and took her own initiative to clean up the area. Another waitress had accidentally spilt my coffee onto the saucer when she served it but she was very apologetic (and I was fine with it!) and meticulously wiped the spilt coffee afterwards. Great coffee , huge portions for the chicken and scrambled egg croissant I’d ordered yesterday. Top-notch in everything but if I really had to nitpick, it might be to provide bigger serving plates for the wonderfully huge scrambled egg croissant as the crumbs were flaking off the plate.
Overall consistently wonderful service, food and ambience across the Tampines and the holland v outlets I’ve been to. No doubt I’d love to continue visiting Lola’s!

March 18, 2026 at 4:22 pmHad a great time at Lola’s! The food was amazing, the rigatoni was rich and flavorful, and the duck pasta was perfectly balanced. The coffee was smooth, and the cold brew had a nice depth to it. Ended on a sweet note with the waffles and their signature dessert, absolutely delicious! Cozy ambiance and friendly service made the experience even better. Definitely worth coming back.
